Simon's Return

[Simon Zahradnik] Simon arrives at the Church in his usual manner. Three heavy knocks on the large door echo through the central chamber. He was looking rather strained, though this was expected considering how close it was to his Moon. He stood outside waiting patiently for a response.

[Sorrow] The door opens some minutes later. Kora stands there, dressed in jeans, her heavy black boots, and a long, thin cotton tunic taught over her stomach. She's heavily pregnant now, approaching eight months, and the weight of it robs her of some of her native grace. Two inches wide, the creature flicks him a look, up and down.

"Simon," she says, opening the door another inch, but no more than that.

[Simon Zahradnik] "Kora... I came to check in. Since I told you I would get information out your way and all. So here I am."He says with the hint of a smile showing as he looks around. It was warm out tonight, warmish and wet. Simon was feeling relatively okay in those regards, the miserable weather of the last few weeks was finally fading away.

[Sorrow] "The last time you were in my territory, Simon, you left in a rage vowing not to return. You refused my no-moon's advice and took it as an offense, when it was fairly meant, swearing up and down that you had been so badly insulted by my packmate that you should have the right to return insult for insult in my hall."

The Fenrir says all this evenly, her dark eyes level, the door still open three inches. "Were you speaking in the heat of passion, Simon? Or am I still meant to remember the ring of your outrage when you speak?"

[Simon Zahradnik] His eyes narrow slightly when he hears this."When last we spoke a member of your pack had opted to call me a fool for the fact that I risk my life out there on a nightly basis in the name of this sept and Caern. I am sorry if this upsets you but I for one thing happen to take great pride in what I do in the name of my pack, my sept, my tribe, and my nation. I am sorry but the lives of those who have died in the name of a cause, your packmate so happily denounces as a foolish affair, mean too much to me."

"You don't look a soldier in the eye and tell him what he does is stupid Rhya. So yes I took offense to the words of your packmate... As a man who has stood, and even fallen, beside members of this pack I felt entitled to a little more respect than I was being shown. Not one member of this pack stood up in my defense so I defended myself Rhya which apparently did offend your no-moon Rhya. I am sorry if I took offense, but the fact that I must sit still and be ridiculed in your territory for behaving as is expected of a Full Moon without recourse or defense from a pack I considered to be friends does leave a bad taste in ones mouth."He says back to her.

[Sorrow] The door does not budge open. The Skald remains framed within the three inch opening, dark eyes fixed on Simon. There's a certain patience evident when he begins in again.

"You disrespected my territory, you disrespected my pack, Simon. Then you threw a tantrum and vowed to never return. Not three weeks later, here you are, and yet I am still supposed to remember and empathize with your outrage?"
